  要﹕
一位中文堂牧師,能操國/粵語,能講流利英語更佳。有牧會經驗,主要負責牧養中文堂弟兄姊妹約一百人。
  在禱告中,我們深深盼望神為這個屬靈的家庭預備一位忠心愛主的牧者(
提前3:1-7), 去牧養、栽培,帶領我們完成主耶穌所吩咐的大使命。

Job Description for Chinese Congregational Pastor:

 1.  Provides godly leadership in the development and execution of the spiritual ministry of Chinese congregation (Cantonese & Mandarin)

a)  Conducts need assessment at least annually
b)  Leads long and short term planning
c)  Develops special characteristics of ministry for the Chinese congregation
d)  Promotes team playing and leveraging of resources with other congregations 

2.  Leads preaching, teaching, prayer & caring ministries for the Chinese congregation (Cantonese & Mandarin)

a) Plans, leads and mainly preaches in the Chinese congregational worship
b) Serves as a co-leader with English Pastor and provide leadership to other staff and interns
c) Serves as a significant resource to enhance the discipleship training & caring ministries
d) Leads and promotes caring & prayer ministries
e) Teaches baptism and other Sunday school classes.

 3. Leads in all outreach programs for the Chinese congregation (Cantonese & Mandarin)

a) Coordinates visitation program
b) Promotes and executes evangelistic outreach
c) Ministers to spiritual needs of interns

 4. Cooperates with lay leadership in the particular congregational ministry

a)      Representation to Church Board – on needs, concerns, ideas, ministries, etc.

b)      Develops a personal ministry to lay leaders of Chinese Congregation

c)      Works with selected committees as agreed upon with the Broad

d)      Promotes congregational participation in church-wide ministries

5. Support church-wide and cross-congregational ministries

a)      Administers or delegates sacramental duties:

communion, baptism, weddings, funerals, infant dedication, exorcism, etc.

b)      Promotes communications, and resolves misunderstandings

c)      Conducts annual reviews of subordinates or periodical reviews for interns

d)     Provide annual reporting to Board and overall congregation

 

Qualifications Guidelines for Chinese Congregational Pastor (1 Timothy3:1-7):

A. Christian Experience

  • Born-again Christian of evangelical faith

  • Received Divine conviction and calling into full time ministry

  • In full accord with LIAC Constitution and By-laws

  • Lives a dedicated Christian life

  • Candidate has to have Multi-culture setting (English and Chinese) experience

  • Has to accept our Co-Pastoral system

  • Has to accept Alliance Doctrine at the start

 B. Education: Master of Divinity or equivalent or similar certification

 C. Pastoral Experience: an ordained pastor.

 D. Leadership qualities:

  • Lead by role-modeling; teach by exemplary lifestyle

  • Man of vision under Divine guidance

  • Manifested Christ-like wisdom and humility, in His servant-leadership style

 E. Cultural understanding: familiar with and accepting people from both Chinese (Cantonese & Mandarin) and American cultures

 F. Language: Fluent in either Cantonese or Mandarin (must conversant in both dialects)

  • Need to know three languages (English, Mandarin & Cantonese). As a minimum, the person is able to carry a conversation in each language

 G. Spiritual gifts: caring, preaching and teaching; communications and people oriented skills

 H. Health: in good physical and mental health

 I. Team-playing qualities:

·         Impartial and non-preferential to other language congregations

·         Able to team with other Congregational Pastors and Lay Leaders as fellow workers

·         Respects the overall church congregation as the ultimate authority under God.
